Repaint> Raphael Carvalho.Sound> Adriano Martoni Oh and a compass as the MFD is lacking and very difficult to check which way one is pointing.Īcknowledgements for Blackhawk stuff to Model> Jordan Moore I must confess to cheating though with the EH101 as I was having great difficulty hovering over the pick up loads and people so I patched in another window 'as532_hover!hover' borrowed from the Blackhawk panel - at least it saved my temper. High altitude intercept in F18- just taking off for intercept and yet another UFO appears to drift across the sky very slowly and in no way commented on in the radio traffic or related to the mission?Īll minor but confusing to say the least. Payload recovery starting off a carrier- the carrier seems to be floating above the waves? Customs intercept mission Started up and rotor blades were in vertical plane rather than horizontal. Climbers very difficult to find despite some verbal directions from crew, then only when you stumble across them does the MC reappear. No key presses will call it back as usual. Avalanche rescue again in EH101- having completed the first 2 explosive drops and then asked to assist in injured climber rescue the mission compass disappears. Mount St Helens evacuation in EH101- just after take off and heading for the snowcapped mountain- the mountain peak just disappeared - only to reappear a few minutes later. Just a couple of anomalies so far on some missions- interested to see if any one else gets these as well. New Heli in Acceleration pack with lifting hoist My first opinion is that there is some fun stuff in there, but maybe a few glitches still, well worth trying even though it cost me 18quid delivered. Once starting the same mission when I started the rotors were going around vertically instead of horizontally and bits of aircraft were all over the screen.Saved the mission and restarted to remove problems so no idea what is happening. In the middle of a missions chasing some guys running contraband the scenery started to c r a c k up. Lots to keep trying, but I do get some funny things occurring. The Mustang race missions and additional Red Bull circuits are very good too. The Westland heli missions are great, supposed to be able to attach and lift loads- still havent snagged anything yet but will keep at it. I havent got through all the misions as yet, and certainly the Rescue coworker trying to land on icy slopes again, no way.

I’ll update this blog entry with additional items if/when they come up.Įdited by WF08, 24 March 2008 - 04:43 PM.Bit windy outside so cant possibly do any gardening, so lots of time to fly! That’s the only common setup problem we’ve seen - as of today, anyway. The SP2 installer should then be able to find language.dll and verify that it’s the right language for the version of SP2 you’re trying to install.

Replace New Value #1 by typing SetupPath.ĭouble-click SetupPath and in the Value data box, type the full directory path where you installed or copied Flight Simulator X. On 64-bit operating systems, open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Wow6432Node\ Microsoft\ Microsoft Games\ Flight Simulator\ 10.0 key in the left pane. On 32-bit operating systems, open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ microsoft games\ flight simulator\ 10.0 key in the left pane. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this, uninstall and reinstall is a safe choice. Note that it involves editing the registry, which can be hazardous to your computer’s health. Unfortunately, the original RTM installer doesn’t rewrite those registry values when you do a repair, so what works is to uninstall and reinstall RTM, then SP1, then SP2. It checks the version information in language.dll to make sure it has the same language as the SP2 installer otherwise, you’d end up with a broken mix of localized content.) (It uses the data in the registry to find the installation directory and the language.dll file. Service Pack 2 requires the registry data that the original RTM and SP1 installers write. That’s not officially supported, of course, but given the size of Flight Simulator, it’s fairly common to want to move the installed files (to a bigger partition, for example) without reinstalling. During testing, the root cause was also the same: Copying the installed files from another partition or machine rather than using the installer.

So far, the immediate cause is the same: missing data in the registry. When installing FSX Service Pack 2, you might see this message: “Microsoft Flight Simulator X Service Pack 2 requires the English version of Flight Simulator X.”
